Parents' house switched FiOS to OOL on Jan 2 2019; internet/tv working fine, but number port from FiOS has not yet taken place... on Friday night Optimum finally did the Letter of Authorization bit but we still don't have the old number ringing through to OV. Equipment installed is the Altice One.
As they've had that phone number for over 40 years, they're very worried about not receiving calls, and really don't want to lose the number.
I am seriously considering pulling the OOL stuff out and re-attaching FiOS, (yes I kept that service active) but don't want to make a bad situation worse, in case the 'port' is actually underway.
