With the Altice Fiber infrastructure moving along quickly, I'm thinking about what to do for TV service.
I have a Ruku Streaming Stick+
I don't want Apple TV, so don't suggest it
I don't have nor do I want a DVR
I don't watch a lot of non-premium cable channels, but I do enjoy seeing what happens to be airing on channels like TBS, USA, Comedy Central, SyFi. Likewise I enjoy looking at Showtime or Cinemax and seeing what's on and finding something interesting.
I'm not a big on-demand/streaming fan. By the time I go through all the offerings and find something to watch, it's taken 45 minutes and I no longer want to watch anything.
I don't have a Google account and don't want one, but I see Optimum Stream is a Google device so I'd probably by required to create an account.
What is Youtube TV like? It's hard to get information or pricing from the Youtube TV web site without a Google account. And if I have to get an account, I may as well stick with Optimum Stream.
Besides the main cable TV channels, I'd also get Showtime and Cinemax (all their English language offerings).
Any suggestions on which one would be better and why?
