So I visit optimum.net today while I'm at lunch. I see an important announcement link, which I haven't seen since the old Optimum site. So I go to the link and get this: Update your browser to continue using Optimum.net Don't lose Optimum.net: Update your browser by January 29th. After January 29th this older version of Optimum.net will no longer be available, and your current browser is not supported by the new Optimum.net. Update your browser to continue enjoying OK, so the link is dated last Aug 6th, but the deadline in the message is current. Here's what makes no sense: I'm at work , on my work computer. It is using IE version 11. Very current. It's a work computer, so if IT does not allow us to have an update, we can't get it, by company policy. We are also not allowed by company policy to have Chrome, Firefox or any of the other browsers. The Optimum page displayed is the new version, so I can't understand how they will block it on Jan 29th. The point is this: If I'm at work and get a call at home, I want to hear the voicemail. I have the messages coming to Gmail on my phone. But the .wav files that Optimum provides do not play on the native Android audio players. So when I have a minute, I log in to my Opt account and retrieve the voicemail. Now Opt thinks they need to block this, too? I think Opt is asking us to jump through too many hoops, especially, for the amount of money we pay each month for that privilege?!?
