About half a year ago I started getting artifacts and stuttering on 3-4 channels, and after having a technician over, he determined that the inside coax cable was bad (cable from outside > cable inside > TV). I was quoted $50 to install the new cable, so I opted to buy it and connect it myself for much less. This involved me connecting it to the wall, and then into the TV. Everything worked fine for about four months, but then the artifacts and stuttering returned.
I'm using a Scientific Atlanta 4250HD cable box, recently got a 4K TV along with a new HDMI 2 cable in case the old one might have went bad. I also tried a spare coax cable I have to see if that helps, but it's also showing artifacts on several channels.
I live in a building, and will call to have a technician over again to check things out. Is there anything specific I should be asking him to have a look at? Also, is there a better cable box that I could be using for the new TV?
