After recently downgrading to a 8ch modem, my problems were solved for a bit, but now that its summer again, its faulting.
I've finally decided to examine the drop at my point and the terminals had water in them. A light coating of water.
The Drop Wire, the Joint connector, and the House Wire had water at the tip. The copper was lightly corroded but i scraped off what i could.
Using the drop pad would instantly ensure a 54dB upstream, but its more normal now at 45-48dB.
I'm considering putting on new ends, but now i'm wondering as to where the inlet for the water arrived. It's safe to assume its the joint connector right?
They are without weather boots, just a rubber thing around the terminal.
