How do I resolve a Double NAT?

I posted here the other week because I was having router issues with Optimum's router not allowing me to create Port Forward rules. https://www.dslreports.com/forum/r33682897-OOL-Port-Forwarding-Broken After spending way too much time with Optimum's customer service, we went out and bought an ASUS AX68U router and put our Gateway into Bridge Mode. I thought I was good with accessing Plex from beyond my home network, but that turned out to not be the case. I have tried allowing Plex to configure itself automatically. https://i.imgur.com/4FkMPFu.png I have tried specifying a port (https://i.imgur.com/bc7FuPD.png). I have tried setting up port forwarding on our router (https://i.imgur.com/62AXIXZ.png) (and just in case I mixed up internal/external ports, I reversed the rule (https://i.imgur.com/2UccQnf.png)). Today, for the first time, when I was making all of the possible combinations for screenshots in this post, I got this one. Unknown IP address for internal and external (https://i.imgur.com/vY0IBbU.png). No idea what to make of that. In order to use our own router, Optimum put our modem/router into Bridge Mode, and we’ve been fine with internet access ever since. I bring this up because in researching similar issues to the Unknown error, I came across this post (https://www.reddit.com/r/PleX/comments/valvw3/private_and_public_ip_address_is_unknown/), but I do not know if that applies to our situation. Our ASUS router has IP addresses from 192.168.50.xx and the Optimum modem in Bridge Mode has the WAN set up in 192.168.1.xx. I am assuming this is causing a Double NAT situation, but I might not fully understand the Plex guidance on Double NAT descriptions (https://support.plex.tv/articles/200931138-troubleshooting-remote-access/). If that is what is causing my issue, how can I resolve it? Is that something with Optimum? Do I need to reconfigure my ASUS so that it has IP addresses in a range similar to that of the ASUS? I cannot make Port Forwarding rules for the ASUS or Synology because the Synology is not connected to it (only our cable box is). Let me know if that’s conflicting things.
