Earlier this month I got Optimum Online, & on the 13th of this month I accepted an invitation to join the Optimum line monitoring group. Being that I was still a member of the Verizon online monitoring group, I wasn't sure if I was supposed to replace the information in the Verizon monitor or create another basic service. I decided to temporarily suspend the Verizon monitor & create a new basic service using the Optimum information. I entered my IP public address in the static monitor location & then put a check mark next to Dynamic. I also entered my location info and my email address.
After a day or so, I looked at the monitoring results and it showed the Verizon monitor as suspended & there was no graph for Optimum. At that point I tried entering the optimum info into the Verizon monitor & removed the temporary suspension... When I looked again this morning there was still no monitoring information on either monitor. When I saw that, I stopped the Verizon monitor altogether.
Why is it that I'm not seeing any results for the Optimum Line Monitor... What did I do wrong?
On a side note is there something I need to do to make myself pingable for Optimum, as I'm also unable to run the Line Quality Test because it says I'm unpingable. The only thing that has changed on my computer is the new Optimum Modem & their Smart Router.. With Verizon monitor I was able to run line quality tests & use the line monitor without any problems.
According to Optimum Tech support there is nothing that can be changed in their router that would make me pingable.
Any information or help you would offer would be greatly appreciated.
