I had regular Optimum Online and was getting speed of 25/5 with no modem fee.
I contacted Optimum and asked if I can go down to Optimum 20. The agent I spoke to said no problem and it would be cheaper because it would only be $24.95 plus a $10.00 modem fee. During the call, I confirmed multiple times that we were both indeed talking about Optimum 20.
So a little while after the call, I log into my Optimum account and I see that I now have Optimum 10 instead of Optimum 20.
I called Optimum back and another agent told me that Optimum 20 is not available. I am in Brooklyn by the way.
So now I can either stick with Optimum 10 or go back to OOL but I would be hit with a modem fee. This is incredible.
Is Optimum 20 not an option for existing Optimum Online customers to downgrade to in Brooklyn?
