Hey Guys,
I have a funny situation. I’ve been using the Actiontec ECB2500C Moca adapters for over 3 years. 2 on FiOS and 1 on optimum now. I used to get full the full 60Mbps I subscribed for with the devices. Lately I noticed I can no longer get more than 29mbps using the devices. One is upstairs and one is downstairs. The house didn't have Ethernet and it’s hard to run as its 3 stories so the moca devices were a good alternative. I thought the devices may have been going bad so ordered 2 new ones and they have the same issue. This suggests to me that it’s not the moca devices. The only change I noticed was our wan/lan IP changed but that’s normal on any isp. No hardware (Ex. Splitters, Cable boxes, routers) changes have occurred and no new service installed or anything like that. I’ve even disconnected all splitters in between the devices and cable boxes with the same results. Ping is 17 over Ethernet but 19 using the moca devices so latency looks fine as well. Any changes cablevision could have made to cause this? It’s very unusual and I’m looking for any tips.
