Can't send email on Optimum network for a week now

I'm having this issue with sending emails on my Optimum network and no one at Optimum can solve it. I can receive just fine and also I can send Optimum emails from any other network (e.g. my mobile Sprint). My settings, login, etc are all correct. I have no viruses or malware. It worked for years and I didn't change anything. With my limited knowledge and 3rd party tools I discovered the SMTP log when I try to connect and send gives me this: "Connecting to mail server. Connected. 220 2.0.0 mta4.srv.hcvlny.cv.net ESMTP ecelerity 3.6.9.48312 r(Core:3.6.9.0) Sat, 15 Jul 2017 17:05:25 -0400 EHLO DESKTOP-JOHN 250-mta4.srv.hcvlny.cv.net says EHLO to 67.85.171.216:51317 250-SIZE 104857600 250-ENHANCEDSTATUSCODES 250-STARTTLS 250 8BITMIME AUTH LOGIN 500 5.5.2 unrecognized command Forcing disconnection from SMTP server. QUIT 221 2.3.0 mta4.srv.hcvlny.cv.net closing connection Disconnected. Error: SMTP protocol error. 500 5.5.2 unrecognized command. Failed to send message" Any thoughts from anyone with high technical knowledge as to what this means? "500 5.5.2 unrecognized command"? Why am I getting that error? Again, my settings never changed, it just all of sudden started doing this. Any ideas on how to fix or what I can try over here on my end? Thanks.
