I became an OOL only customer last year and am currently paying 44.99/mon (I returned their modem, use my own SB6141).
The promotional pricing is about to expire and I wanted to know if there is something they usually do to keep customers from leaving.
I called retentions and they said they would give me the pricing of $49.99. I told them Verizon is matching the current price but they are still unwilling to budge arguing "why are we even arguing for $5"? Well because that is $5 going from me to them, not the other way around, that's why.
On top of that, new customer pricing is now $39.99 for my exact setup (cheaper than the price I got), which is really putting me that close to the edge and making me disconnect and come back under the name of another household member.
What are my options here. Can I disconnect and do a self install with another account under my wife's name?
