I have a Motorola Surfboard SBG6580 which i own and previously had the 25/5 internet package. I just upgraded my plan to the new 60/25 plan and rebooted the router. I tested my wired Ethernet connection on my PC and download was 68 and upload around 25, as it was supposed to be. Fine. But when I tested on all my wireless devices the upload was good at the new 25 but the download never changed from the 25 it was before.
I called Arris for support and paid $40, they had me read off some numbers and said it was my signal. They were Downstream Bonded Channel numbers...all between 9.0 and 9.4. He said my problem was the signal. I just don't get how the issue is the signal when the ethernet download/upload increased as they should with the reboot and the wireless upload also increased to the new package specs but the download remained as it was before...around 25. What else can I try?
