Coming back to Cablevision - Questions

I was always with Cablevision, but the last two years went with FiOS. I'd like to go back to Cablevision in the next month, but just have a few questions. With my FiOS setup, in an apartment, they installed an Ethernet cable to PC # 1 (bedroom) and PC # 2 (living room). I don't use wireless often, so I like the option of using wired all the time, and the ability to use wireless when needed. 1. Can Cablevision install this same setup, where I have two PC's connected through Ethernet/wired, but the option to "turn on" wireless, when needed? When not needed, I'd want wireless to be completely "off" all the time. 2. What are some very good routers that work well with Optimum Online (Ultra 50), and can be used as a wired/wireless router, and can have wireless always "off", unless needed? 3. I'd prefer to have my own router instead of Cablevision's "Smart Router". Can I just use my own router and use Cablevision's modem, but not the Smart Router? Will that present any issues? Any input and advice would be so helpful and appreciated. Thank you so much!
